Markus Lukkarinen: Systematic Approach and Surprises are the Spice of Everyday Life
Markus Lukkarinen serves as the Production Manager at BussiPro, having been with the company for just over a year. His onboarding began in the warehouse, moved through sales, and eventually led to production. This progression provided him with a solid foundation to begin developing the company's operations and taking responsibility for ensuring that services meet customer expectations.
Markus’s path to BussiPro has always revolved around heavy machinery. At the start of his career, he drove trucks across Finland. After that, he trained as a traffic instructor, specializing in heavy duty vehicles.
"There’s just something about these big rigs that draws me in," he says, referring not only to driving them but to the vehicle technology as well.
"Thanks to my background, I believe I have a good understanding of the challenges faced by transport entrepreneurs. I want to utilize that experience to further develop BussiPro’s services to meet our customers' needs as effectively as possible," he explains.
To achieve this, he is currently developing a system designed to provide even more personalized service while ensuring that customers receive the best possible solutions reliably and quickly. However, as everyone in the industry knows: just when you think everything is ready and handled, a surprise pops up that requires a reaction. On the other hand, according to Markus, this is exactly what makes the job interesting—no two days are ever the same!
Despite his extensive industry experience, Markus is only 33 years old. As a fitness enthusiast, he stays active through a variety of hobbies, from the gym and jogging to football. In addition, he is involved in his 10- and 12-year-old children's sports activities, participates in the voluntary fire department (VPK), and is an active military reservist. It was through these circles that discussions about BussiPro began with Jussi Raunisto quite some time ago. Once their visions aligned, the rest was history.
"I am highly motivated in this role, and it feels like I am exactly where I’m supposed to be," he says.
